John takes us from his childhood in Warrington through three decades of alcohol addiction a road strewn with prison sentences, rehab clinics, and mental institutions. His account is brutally honest, stripped of melodrama, and told in a matter-of-fact style that somehow makes it even more powerful.

Then comes the turning point. John found his way out through faith in Jesus Christ and that changed everything. He put down the bottle for good and picked up a mission: taking the Gospel to Ghana and other countries, dedicating his life to bringing hope where there was none.

This isn’t just a story about beating addiction; it’s about redemption, resilience, and finding your true purpose. If you’ve ever felt like you’ve hit rock bottom, or you know someone who has, John’s journey could be the light in the darkness you’re searching for.

Though John passed away a few years ago, reading his words made me feel as though I’d met him again if only for a moment. His voice, his faith, and his message live on.
