STEVE DIOR BAND ROCKED THE STEWART ARMS IN NOTTING HILL

The Search Is Over: The Steve Dior Band Delivers at a Packed Stewart Arms
Sometimes everything clicks.

Saturday night at The Stewart Arms in Notting Hill was a proper roadblock. Friends, music obsessives and faces from back in the day all crammed into the room for something genuinely special.

Because we kicked off early, nobody had to play the miserable game of choosing between raw live music and the nerve-shredding England v Norway World Cup quarter-final. The room was buzzing long before a single chord was struck.

Steve Dior was on absolute flyer form. He has that legendary "tequila voice"—a weathered, raw growl that sounds like a lifetime of late nights, hard roads and brilliant stories. It's pure character. This wasn't just a band playing a set list; it was musical storytelling at its absolute best, delivered with the kind of grit and authenticity that can't be manufactured.

Gary Bundy laid down a relentless groove on bass, while Neil Anderson proved once again why so many people regard him as one of the finest guitarists around. With Michael locking everything down on drums, the band sounded tight, powerful and dangerous in all the right ways.

Tracks from Songs for the Wicked sat beautifully alongside the newer material, proving exactly why Steve remains one of Britain's last true rock 'n' roll originals.

The Stewart Arms was the perfect backdrop. An intimate, sweaty room packed to the rafters with people who came for the music and stayed for the atmosphere. There was a real sense of community in the air. Old friends shouted across the room to catch up, new faces discovered Steve's music for the first time, and everyone was completely locked into the moment.

When the final wall of feedback faded, the room turned its attention to the big screen for the football. Live rock 'n' roll followed by a World Cup quarter-final is a rare combination, and judging by the smiles around the place, it couldn't have worked out any better.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and made the night what it was.

The search may be over, but let's get one thing straight: The Steve Dior Band is back. They sound every bit as sharp as ever, and there's still plenty more music left to make.

Rock 'n' Roll saves lives.
