I’m Tommy Kennedy IV, a London-based writer turning real-life into stories that hit hard, honest, and unpolished.

Welcome. This is where you get to know me, my work, and how I do things. No bolloks, no big statements, just stories from the life that feeds them.

I never planned to be a writer. Growing up in Warrington and moving to London, I was too busy surviving the day-to-day mess. But life kept throwing moments at me I couldn’t ignore. People, streets, nights — they stuck. Eventually, I wrote them down. That’s how Nightmare in Jamaica came to be: one truth spilling into another until a book formed.

What You’ll Find Here
Books, blog posts, thoughts, videos, behind-the-scenes chaos. The world I’ve lived in, the people I’ve met, the streets I’ve walked, the nights that went sideways, and the lessons that took time to sink in. Everything is written in my voice, honest, unfiltered, and a little rough around the edges.

Where to Start
If you’re new here, start with:

Nightmare in Jamaica – my first book and the one that started it all

Life Stories – real moments that shaped me

Writing the Truth – how I turn lived experience into story

Noir Without the Gloss – why my style looks the way it does

My Voice
People call my writing noir. Maybe it is. I call it life without sugar. Quiet rooms, bad decisions, small victories, the humour you cling to when things fall apart. That’s what I write and what you’ll find in every post.

For Readers and Searchers
If you searched for UK noir writers, working-class British authors, or true-life storytelling, you’re in the right place. This site is for anyone who wants:

Real, raw writing

Stories grounded in real experience

Honest memoir-style pieces

Creative writing with grit, humour, and edge

Why I Built This
A place of my own, somewhere to put my work and share my thoughts. Readers get a front-row seat to my journey. I’m learning the digital world as I go, but the stories keep coming.

Thanks for stopping by. Look around. Grab a seat. There’s bits of me everywhere, and more coming every week.
